Hello,
Can someone explain why in the 2mt. class the height limit time is set for 40secs. Is height limit left at 200mts. Is the thinking that 2mt. models cannot reach 200mts. in 30secs.
Thanks Eddy Small. Embarrassed

I think this was done as it was stated that a lot of the ARTF foam models would not get to the 200 metres in 30 seconds as you said. Be aware that this only applies to BMFA events, not to the Bartletts league where it remains at 30 seconds for 2 metre models and Multi launch comps where the launch window of 30 seconds applies to electrics and 150 metre setting on the logger/cam switch.

It is a shame that the electric scene has so many avenues, I have heard quite a few people (that are interested in competing in electric gliding comps) say that it would be much less daunting if all the electric thermal duration formats could agree on a single launch height / time.

You have to sympathise, no matter what comp camp you may be in.
